【1】The IP KIT contains anti-STAT6 magnetic Beads (2 mg/mL) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) with sodium azide (0.1%).

【2】Using NP-40 cell lysate buffer in the kit is required,otherwise,the magnetic beads may be precipitated.

【3】Shipping: Magnetic Beads kits are shipped at ambient temperature in which magnetic beads are provided in liquid buffer.

Anti-STAT6 Magnetic Beads-IP Kit Product Description

The Anti-STAT6 magnetic Beads, conjugated with Anti-STAT6 antibody, are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of STAT6 proteins which expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing STAT6 proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound STAT6 proteins are dissociated from the magnetic beads using an elution buffer.

STAT6 Background Information

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) is a transcription factor that is activated by interleukin-4 (IL-4)-induced tyrosine phosphorylation and mediates most of the IL-4-induced gene expression. STAT6 plays a central role in exerting interleukin-4 (IL-4) mediated biological responses and is found to induce the expression of BCL2L1/BCL-XL, which is responsible for the anti-apoptotic activity of IL4. Transcriptional activation by STAT6 requires the interaction with coactivators like p3 and the CREB-binding protein (CBP). NF-?B and tyrosine-phosphorylated Stat6 can directly bind each other in vitro and in vivo, which suggest that the direct interaction between Stat6 and NF-?B may provide a basis for synergistic activation of transcription by IL-4 and activators of NF-?B.
